SUMMER HALF TERM CAMP

Seasonal fun for your kids

Keep your children active, happy and social by booking them into the fun packed Forbesy Camps this Summer, at the wonderful setting of Great Dunmow Primary School. 
 
With over 50 activities our fun Forbesy Camps are sure to ignite your child’s creative, active and imaginative minds. Please check out our Summer Schedules for our CUBS (under8's) and FOXES (over 8's). Activity choices are age flexible depending on siblings, friendship groups and ability.
 
Specialised Activities
We have invested into some specialised activities . Please see Half Term Schedules for dates: CUBS (under8's) and FOXES (over 8's).

Fox Tail courses – created to teach young people leadership skills and responsibility by shadowing a Den Captain, whilst still being able to enjoy the Forbesy Camp activities. Fox Tails must be aged 12-14. Please see Parent Information Pack for more details.

First Aid – learning the important basic skills of First Aid by the award winning Mini First Aid. Each child will be awarded a mini first aid certificate! 22nd July and 26th August.
  
Mini Olympic Fridays – all campers will be grouped in teams with a Den Captain and compete for the first, second and third place - medals to be won!

Fun Friday Bounce – children love our bouncy slide every Friday.

Visits from a Mobile Animal Zoo with animals ranging from mammals, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. A brilliant and fun sessions. Dates TBC – please email.

Science experiments – most days and changed weekly. Children LOVE this.

Electric scooter for our Camp Foxes. To learn new skills and attack mini courses.

Archery and Fencing with our qualified trainers. Most days.

Taekwondo with the qualified Dunmow Tigers. Dates TBC

Survival skills with a qualified instructor. Dates TBC soon. Email.

Dragons’ Den Wednesdays -your child will get to pitch their business idea to our local champion from Dragons’ Den – Kellie Forbes. Kellie will teach basic skills in business in a fun and inclusive environment – with a certificate of accomplishment to take home!
Design and build – throughout the week we will be building a car, pirate ship, shop, house - a different project every week with a certificate of accomplishment at then end.

Making Music with Scott Forbes – set the stage, hand out the percussion instruments, and with Scott on his guitar the children will be writing songs!

TikTok lessons – lessons on lighting, timing and filming with our very own TikTok sensation - Cadia Lodge.
 

Swimming!
For a small surcharge we now offer fun swimming with two of our fun qualified life-guides. This is a favourite with our campers - please click on swimming on the homepage to book yours!

Fun Fridays and Awards!
Be sure to book your child in on a Friday! Every Friday we will now have a bouncy slide PLUS Awards Friday! Children will be given medals and certificates for their behaviour and achievements throughout the week – there will be something for everyone!
